We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated individual to join our Admin team to provide administration and secretarial support to Probus Surgical Centre.

Essential skills required for the post include – the ability to prioritise tasks; effective time management skills; excellent IT and secretarial skills; good communication, interpersonal and organisational skills.

The postholder should also demonstrate a caring and sensitive approach to their work and be able a clearly communicate with colleagues, the general public and representatives from hospitals, general practices and other organisations.

Probus Surgical Centre is well known having provided a high quality minor surgical service for over 20 years where procedures are performed under local anaesthetic. We treat patients who are referred under the NHS and increasingly patients who present themselves as private.

This is a full-time post working 37 hours per week but we will be willing to look at part time posts.

Job Description:       Bank Theatre Nurse

Probus Surgical Centre are seeking to recruit qualified Bank Theatre Nurses for the Daycase surgery team to maintain our high standards of patient care and ensure that our services are safe and efficient. This post will assist all surgeon’s providing surgical procedures as either a scrub nurse or runner as required.   The successful candidates will work across all areas of the Day Surgery service caring for patients undergoing a wide variety of Day Surgical Procedures including orthopaedic, ophthalmic, hernias, vasectomies and maxillary facial so should ideally be able to demonstrate recent hospital or Daycase surgery experience and an understanding of the key issues for excellence in practice. Support and training will be given where needed to develop the range of practical competence.   There is a requirement for a flexible approach to rostering, with a good team work ethic.

Job Description:       Bank Theatre Healthcare Assistant

Probus Surgical Centre are seeking to recruit Bank Theatre Healthcare Assistants for the Day Surgery who will assist the surgical team in the care of patients and their families to assist in the smooth day to day functioning of the operating theatres. Patients at Probus Surgical Centre undergo a wide variety of Daycase Surgical Procedures including orthopaedic, ophthalmic, hernias, vasectomies and maxillary facial. Ideally you should be able to demonstrate recent hospital or Day case surgery experience, however, support and training will be given where needed to suitable applicants.   There is a requirement for a flexible approach to rostering, with a good team work ethic.
