Patient Participation Group

Would you like to influence the development of local surgical services?

Are you interested in finding out more about the Surgical Centre?

At Probus Surgical Centre, we are continuing to grow and Cornwall is benefiting from our shorter waiting times and high-quality services. We have a Patient Participation Group, linked with our GP Surgery which are held locally in Probus.

A Patient Forum/Participation Group gives people the chance to get involved in improving their local health services by offering their views about these services and making recommendations for changes in the future.

There are also other methods to share your thoughts about Probus Surgical Centre, such as contacting us directly, leaving a review on the NHS Choices website or completing the Friends and Family Test or Patient Satisfaction Questionnaire that is shared with you after your treatment.

If you are interested in joining our Patient Participation Group, please complete the below form:

What is the Patient Participation Group?

This is a group of volunteer patients and service users along with members of the Surgical Centre staff who aim to communicate at regular intervals and contribute to decisions about the range and quality of services provided at Probus Surgical Centre as well as seek your views about important issues and developments. We aim to meet twice a year and to carry out surveys seeking your opinion on various matters. From this, we consider changes that you feel are needed to improve the services and then implement them wherever possible.

At its simplest, patient participation refers to patients and service users who are taking an active interest in the healthcare that the Surgical Centre provides.

Will the questions you ask me be medical or personal?
