Cleanliness and ppe Guidance

Your safety and wellbeing will always be our priority. At Probus Surgical Centre, we continue to maintain our infection control measures, in line with national guidance and our own very high standards. Whilst we continue to operate as normal, there are some changes that you might notice on your visit. You can find out more about these below.

Here are some of the measures we’ve put in place to help ensure everyone’s safety:

Cleanliness

We have increased our cleaning routines and removed some ‘high touch point’ equipment.

Hand washing is one of the most important ways for us all to reduce the spread of the virus. All colleagues and patients are required to practice good hand hygiene; we have regular hand wash stops, and guidance on how to wash your hands effectively is visible throughout our building. We have also increased the number of hand sanitising dispensers available.

COVID-19 symptoms

For anyone who shows symptoms of COVID-19, we are asking patients to re-arrange their appointment when they are negative, no sooner than 2 weeks after onset of symptoms

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

In line with the latest government advice – Surgical face masks may be worn by staff and patients as a personal choice. During your visit you may be kindly asked to wear a surgical face mask during your consultation, one will be provided to you if you do not have this when you arrive, in these cases our Staff will also be wearing a mask.
